Mortgage deposit calculator

You’ll know that when you apply for your first mortgage you’ll need a certain amount of deposit which will be a percentage of the total cost of the property. So, as a basic example you might have £20,000 saved for a £200,000 house. With our house deposit calculator we can work out the exact deposit you think you’ll need based on the value of the house and the percentage you’re hoping to save.

As well as a mortgage and deposit calculator we have a handy Lifetime ISA calculator and a Stamp Duty calculator in case either of these are helpful to our customers, too. We also have a whole library full of mortgage guides that we’ve worked on with our expert mortgage partner Mortgage Advice Bureau who’ll search over 90 lenders and 12,000 deals to find the right one for you.

Finally, if you have a Beehive Money account; you can set up your deposit goal right there in the app which will help you track how close you are to achieving it.

When it comes to remortgaging, you could stick with your existing provider - you’ve dealt with them before and know how they work. But without looking at what deals are out there, you could be missing out on getting a mortgage that’s more suited to you elsewhere.
